Mr. Garza was born and raised in Eagle Pass, Texas and currently resides in Sanger, California.
Education
Mr. Garza obtained his Master’s degree from Stanford University and also has both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from San Jose State University.
Career
Humberto’s career included employment as a University Administrator and College Professor and working as a Community Organizer. Council Member Garza serves as the alternate city representative for the Southeast Regional Solid Waste Commission. Since retirement, he has written and published 5 books on the history of Mexican-Americans in the American Southwest.
